Bar Soba -The Chic Asian Street Food

Now let's talk about a fairly famous restaurant in Glasgow. Bar Soba, a restaurant and bar specialized in Asian street food and with a very trendy setting. You can find several in Glasgow (and in the UK), we tested the one in Merchant city (yes we love this area).

Bar soba, over everything is a very spacious and trendy restaurant, the decoration is chic whilst maintaining an industrial style. This is a surprisingly beautiful place where we find a great atmosphere, passing through the door, you find yourself in a huge and beautiful spot, quite impressive.

(If you are looking for a spot for a date we recommend this place, yesss there are some little candles on the tables).

And what about Asia?  

As you can see, the essence of Asia is not in the decoration but in the plate.

We tested the buttermilk fried chicken katsu bun. It is a chicken burger, be careful though the katsu bun doesn't really look like the original one. However, the sauce is delicious, filled with Asian spices. The chicken is tender and crispy. The dish is very generous, a little spicy.

The other dish we tested was Singapore street noodles, a more typical dish. More exotic than the first one, the spices are very present (if you like spice, then it’s for you) very tasty and generous.

To sum up:

A perfect blend of a chic and unique, luscious Asian food and trendy cocktails.

The staff is friendly, however we had some small problems with the orders, they were wrong in our drinks and dishes.

- Good plan, there are often student discounts

- Prices are correct, quite high for drinks 

- On weekdays lunch you can find menus at £7-8 (soft drink and main dish)

- Very cool place for a drink, it offers a great menu of cocktails

- If you come in the evening, we strongly advise you to book! You can even do it online
