La dolce vita during one night, eating pizzas at Paesano
Pizza. One of the most famous dishes in the
world. Pizza can be a fast food dish as well as a very elaborate and artisanal
dish. Did you know that homemade pizzas is actually a healthy dish? So that’s
enough to say you can eat a lot of pizzas without feeling guilty (yesss BUT
only homemade or artisanal one).
A little taste of Italy in the heart of Glasgow.
Don’t have the money to go to Italy? So, let's go to the Peasano restaurant.
Inside Paesano Restaurant |
On the way to the restaurant, the expectations are high. Indeed, Peasano is known as one of the best pizza restaurants in Glasgow. Without this information, you can guess as well that it’s a famous place: the line to have a table is long enough, it must really be worth it! There were only two of us and got a table very quickly.
The decoration is a mix between a trendy industrial atmosphere as we like and the Italian spirit. The open kitchen reveals the delicious smell of pizzas in the wood fired oven.
We could also call this article "Paesano, best pizza in town"
Given the reputation, we held a harsh criteria; and we were not disappointed, far from it. We ordered pizzas number 4 and 5. The two pizzas exceeded the plate, they are very copious. The filling was fresh, high quality and generous. No extravagances, no lies, just the simplicity of a delicious pizza made of fresh Italian ingredients. With a few drops of spicy oil (not too much, it’s very strong), it was just perfect.
Paesano Pizzas |
A good pizza needs a good dough! And beware we are very difficult on this criteria (I never eat the pizza crust unless I really love the dough). Well, there was nothing left on my plate, a feat! The dough is thin, soft and crispy at the same time. Peasano tell us your secret!
In terms of price it's also a good surprise we paid just £22 for two pizzas and two draught beers.
